The Salkantay Trek is truly spectacular with stunning views of Cusco second highest mountain; the Apu (Andean deity) Salkantay.
The word Salkantay means wild in the Quechua language and as you approach to the jagged peaks, the big deeps carved out by its glacier and the glacier itself you can see why.
